Well done to all who took part in the 2008 Season.
Finals Night, held at the Butchers Arms, saw a good turn out to support the players. Thank you to Ian for arranging a great spread of food for all to enjoy.
The Singles Cup was won by Gerry Thurston (Butchers 'A') 2-0 against Russell Vickers (Butchers 'D').
The Doubles Cup was won by Russell Vickers and Micky Ling (Butchers 'D') 2-0 against Sean Stock and Darren Stock (Butchers 'B')
The Captains Cup was won by Russell Vickers (Butchers 'D') by default against the Loddon Swans Captain who no longer plays for the team
The Charity Cup was won by Shaun Rudd (Caxton Arms), 2-1 in a close run game against Daniel Champion (Butchers 'C'). Shaun will let us know which charity he has choosen and this will be posted here shortly.
The Charity Cup raised £15 on the venue nights, £10.00 on finals night from the Football Card, £5.00 was donated, and £11.00 was raised through speed pool which took place after the matches - a total of £41.00.
A raffle will be held to raise more at the AGM and whatever the total is will be doubled by the league and presented to the chosen Charity on the night. Prizes donated by anyone would be much appreciated.
N. White and G.Lugo both tie with 11 for most wins over the season.
G. Lugo (Butchers Arms 'D'), N. White (BFC 'A), P. Fuller (BFC 'B'),
C. Frost (Caxton Arms) and J. Swain (Swansons 'B) all have 1 Eight Ball to their names....
Butchers 'D' are overall winners for Division 1, and the Caxton Club take the title of winners of Division 2
I Look forward to seeing you all at the Caxton Club at 8pm on the 23rd December for the AGM and presentation of the trophies!
Last but not least, thank you to everyone for their support in running the league this year,
Sean Stock.

CAXTON CLUB TAKES OUT SWANSONS 'B' TO SEAL TOP PLACE IN DIVISION 2
Yes, last nights nervous young hopefuls set out to reclaim the top spot, but it wasn't easy. Finishing 8-2 to the Caxton Club meant 3 more points which took them back to the top of the table.
Mark Baldry (Captain of the Caxton Club) looked on to watch his team take both victory on the night, and the title of Division 2 Winners.... Welcome to the big boys league now Mark, ha ha.
When asked for a comment on his teams success, a rather mellow Mark replied, "Do we all get trohies then ???" ...
|
The race is on for top spot in division 2!
With a game in hand, the Caxton Club needs to defeat Swansons B tonight to secure their place back at the top above Thurlton Queen B.....
The location of this year's AGM depends on the outcome, so watch this space !
I can confirm that the AGM WILL be put back to December
23rd, the venue to be confirmed after tonights games.
The new league will begin in the new year, date to be confirmed.

Feeling like my head may explode any minute..... ha ha... ok, all the player stats are now up to date too... and it looks like a close run for both the eight ball trophy and the most wins trophy!
Currently G. Lugo (Butchers Arms 'D'), N. White (BFC 'A), P. Fuller (BFC 'B'),
C. Frost (Caxton Arms) and J. Swain (Swansons 'B) all have 1 Eight Ball to their names.... there were 2 others claimed by M. Ling (Butchers 'D'), but both were not from the break and have been disallowed.
Most Wins is currently held by N.White (BFC 'A') with 11 First game wins, followed closely by G. Lugo (Butchers 'D') with 10.
Final Results will be posted here after the last league game ! |
Hey Everyone, so sorry this hasn't been updated in AGES! but now all has been fixed (I hope) and we're back up and running.....
Please bear with us while we continue to update the site... All league results in the tables have been updated and include the latest fixture results. All individual pages have also been updated with exception to the individual PLAYER STATS. These take a little time, and will be processed as quickly as possible.
Having had to rebuild the site from the 12th August to date is obviously a little time consuming !
I will post a new update when all is completely up to date (hopefully tomorrow)
Please be advised that the AGM may need to be postponed until December to allow time for trophies to be purchased and engraved, though again I will post that info with the new date as soon as possible.
For those of you wanting to know where finals night will be held, it will be at the venue of the winner of Division 1. The AGM will be held at the venue of the winner of Division 2.
Looking at the tables - it looks like Finals night will be held at the Butchers Arms, and the AGM at the Caxton Club... I will confirm this after next weeks final games are played. |
Please note : ALL home teams MUST provide a card for the game they are scheduled to play.
If the away team does not turn up, and no notice is given, please write "Didn't Turn up - no notice" on the card. If the match is postponed, please write "postponed" on the card. If the match is postponed with less than 24hrs notice - please also write "under 24 hours" on the card.
This is VERY important, as it has a reflection on the amount of the fine that is given! |
Slight technical hitch - the dates on the Knockout Cup page for the 2nd Round 2nd Leg were wrong, and have now been changed - this stage of the competition is on the 10th June, not the 2nd as previously shown.
All fixture dates for individual team pages were and are correct... for now ! |
The Loddon Swan 'B' team have had to withdraw from the league due to lack of players, though their 'A' team will continue to play.
All games played / points scored with regards to the 'B' team will be withdrawn, this will include player statistics. |
